Hexham Road and Targa Rally Championship 2026

The club runs a championship for it's members for Road and Targa Rallies. With trophies given out at its annual awards night.

The rules are as follows:

1) Hexham and District Motor Club are running a championship for Road and Targa events in 2026

2) The Championship Co-ordinator is Liam Charton who can be contacted at liam.charlton@hexhammotorclub.com

3) The championship is open to all members of Hexham and District Motor Club and your results will be automatically added to the championship standings. There is a class for drivers and a class for navigators

4) The points scoring is 10-1, with all Hexham members scoring at least 1 point if there are more than 10 Hexham members entered.

The championship works on dropped scores based on the ¾ rule rounded down. For example for 10 events would mean 7 events counting. 9 events 6 counting 8 Events 6 counting etc.

Marshalling/organising on any of Hexham Motor Club events will attract half maximum points (rounded up). Points must be claimed by the organiser/marshal.

5) In the event of a tie the winner will be decided by highest average position

6) Results will be uploaded within two weeks of each event happening, and will be final once the final event has been completed.

7) Penalties in C3.5.3 (NCR Chapter 2, Appendix 8, Article 2) are as written

8) Awards will be presented at the club awards night and are available for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Driver and navigator.

28th March – White Heather – Targa - Wigton MC - Clubmans
TBC - Shaw Trophy - Targa - Whickham / Hadrian MC - Clubmans
7th July - Northern Dales - Targa - Hexham & DMC – Clubmans/Interclub
10th August - Blue Streak - Targa - Spadeadam MC - Clubmans
6th September - Wearside - Targa - Durham AC – Clubmans
12th September - Kielder Targa - Targa - Hexham & DMC - Clubmans
20th/21st September - Clitheronian - Road - Clitheroe MC – Clubmans/Interclub
3rd/4th October - Beaver - Road - Beverley & DMC – Clubmans/Interclub
TBC November – Steve Gornall Rally - Road – Regardless MC – Clubmans/Interclub
