75th Anniversary Celebration

Hexham auction mart played host to many past and present members and we were privileged to be joined by our special guest, the famous motorsport presenter and enthusiast, Tony Jardine  shared his tales and tribulations of a long and successful career as well as hand out the awards to our winners.

Chairman Jonathon Webb had organised a live band to play as a tribute to the dinner dances of yesteryear and so after a delicious 3 course meal, members were able to dance to a brilliant mix of music courtesy of local band ‘Mac3‘

Whilst the band took a short break, all attendees enjoyed the opportunity to win some cracking prizes in the raffle, which was rounded off by an intense auction for a few select lots including a bottle of champagne signed by the late great Paddy Hopkirk, a framed print of a Rothmans Ford escort and some original memorabilia from the Monte Carlo rallies which a kind member competed in.

To finish off the night the music and dancing resumed as we celebrated the start of the clubs 75th year. As we move forward and the motorsport activities ramp up, our club Chairman Jonathon Webb said he was excited for the future of the club as we continue to promote clubmans motorsport in the North East and look to share current members successes as well as welcome new members to our ever expanding club.
