JULY 23rd 2017-03-27
Following the success of last year’s event, The Northern Dales Classic Trophy will be back again but this year it will run on July 23rd, hopefully a more “User Friendly” date and a bit warmer than last November. Being in the Sumer, we will also have more hours of daylight and this will allow us to run more tests, the event offering better value for money than ever.
The format of the Northern Dales will be unchanged with the whole event taking place within the confines of the Eastgate Cement Works in Weardale with no road mileage at all. The tests will follow the same pattern as before being straightforward, easy to follow, more like mini stages than the normal car park type of test. We will be cutting out the loose bits used last year so 99% of the test surface should be good, hard concrete. Facilities on the site will again include the 5 star catering thanks to Julies Pantry and the bespoke toilets courtesy of Castlewood Hire.
The 2017 Northern Dales Classic Trophy is a round of both the NESCRO Historic Challenge and the NESCRO Targa Challenge and there will be awards in both categorys, we are grateful to Simon Jennings and Direct Car parts of Durham for supporting the awards.
Regulations for the Northern Dales Classic Trophy will be available from late April, demand for places will be high so early entry is advised. As ever, we will be needing a small army of Marshals and members are requested to offer their services Please, we need lots of folk to make the event work.
